Privacy policy
Last updated 2026-10-23
Rocky Software Inc. ("we") makes Cuewire. This policy says what personal data we handle, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: Cuewire is built to keep your work on your computers. We collect as little as we can.
What never leaves your computers
Your code, prompts, terminal output, file names, notes and canvases. Cuewire keeps them on your computer, or on your own remote computers for remote projects. The agents you run talk to their providers with your own logins; Cuewire never sees, proxies or stores those logins.
What we keep when you have an account
You need an account only for the paid plans. The Cuewire service keeps:
- your email address, to send sign-in codes and invitations;
- the names of the computers you signed in on (up to 5);
- your plan, your licence, and your organisation if you are in one;
- if you use settings sync, your settings encrypted on your computer with your sync code. We can't read them.
Sign-in codes and sessions are stored only as hashes. Roles and arrangements your organisation shares are stored so its members can use them, and we can read those.
What the app may send
- A crash heartbeat, on unless you turn it off: for each session, whether it ended cleanly, with the version and the operating system.
- Usage events, off unless you turn them on: counts of features used, with times rounded to the hour. Never names, paths or text.
Neither carries an account or a device id. The app shows everything waiting to be sent, and you can delete it. Support files are built on your computer, shown to you in full, and sent only if you send them yourself.
The phone companion
Messages between your phone and your desktop are end-to-end encrypted. Our relay sees only an anonymous channel id and when messages pass, and keeps nothing.
Payments
Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for our orders. Paddle collects and handles your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy. We receive your plan and subscription status, never your card details.
This website
cuewire.dev sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Our host keeps ordinary server logs, such as IP addresses, for security, for a short time.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare: hosting of this website and of the Cuewire service's network connection.
- Brevo: sending sign-in codes and invitations by email.
- Paddle: payments, as Merchant of Record.
Data may be processed outside your country, under the safeguards these companies provide.
Why we may use it
To provide the service you asked for (your account, licence, sign-in and sync), to keep it secure, and to meet legal duties such as tax records. We don't sell personal data and don't use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Account data stays while you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep, such as billing records.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to how we use it. Write to hello@cuewire.dev. You may also complain to your data protection authority, such as the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
Cuewire is not meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will post changes here and, for important ones, tell you by email before they take effect.
